GGGOLDDD has grown a loyal fanbase who know them for their dark, eerie, alternative sound and with today’s single, ‘I Let My Hair Grow’, they do not disappoint. The single was written and performed by Milena Eva and Thomas Sciarone and produced by Tom Dalgety (The Cult, Ghost, Siouxsie, Opeth, and more). As always, Eva delivers vocals that will stick with you long after the track concludes, simultaneously soothing and haunting. Resonating equally are the lyrics, presenting lines like “My body and soul, collecting dust, I sit still with my thoughts, There is nowhere else, nowhere else.”
On the single, Eva comments: “We are very happy to release a new song for our European tour with MONO. ‘I Let My Hair Grow’ deals with the aftermath of trauma, accepting discomfort and letting go of what I can’t control. It picks up where we left you with our last album: it’s time for some healing now.”
Currently on their first European tour in support of 2022’s masterpiece, This Shame Should Not Be Mine, the band is thrilled to have another song to bring forward while playing with Japanese instrumental legends MONO. ‘This Shame Should Not Be Mine’ was released to critical acclaim in April 2022 and made several yearly best of 2022 lists, including outlets like Brooklyn Vegan, A Model of Control, Echoes & Dust, and Scream Blast Repeat.
