The fourth album is always the most difficult.
Cult Ottawa industrialists Encephalon will release Echoes, the band’s first album since 2017’s We Only Love You When You’re Dead exclusively on Artoffact Records.
Leading off with their first single in five years, Encephalon have released “Someone Else’s Dream,” a club-friendly industrial track complete with mid-2000s style processed vocals, catchy chorus and dystopian, Front Line Assembly-esque lyrics. The single strikes a more uplifting, less aggressive tone than the band’s previous output, but manages to stay right on track in the hard-hitting mode that Encephalon fans have come to expect.
