s:cage is the electronic music alias of producer Stephen Seto, known for blending atmospheric textures with experimental beats, fusing elements of ambient, industrial, and IDM. Emerging in the late 1990s, s:cage has gained recognition for his intricate sound design and emotional, immersive soundscapes. Drawing from a wide range of influences, his work combines organic and synthetic elements to create complex, thought-provoking compositions. With a focus on innovation and detail, s:cage has built a reputation as a forward-thinking artist in the experimental electronic scene.
After releasing his first 2 albums, “remote” (2004) and “madness turns to glass” (2006) on A German label, s:cage has been relatively quiet for almost 2 decades, with the exception of some compilation tracks, remixes and a few live shows and festival appearances scattered about. But in 2024, s:cage returned with a renewed purpose. First with a very inspired and intense remix of Displacer’s “The Witching Hour (Howler remix)” on Crime League, then followed up in early 2025 with a special collaboration (s:cage + Famine + Lys Morke) to offer a stunning remix of “Molotov” by industrial legends Front Line Assembly, for their “Mechviruses” remix album on Artoffact Records.
Now…
19 years after the madness…
comes…
a beautiful mess…
stay tuned.
